New bike has been purchased. Ended up going with the Look 585 instead of the De Rosa. It's a bit painful to switch from DeRosa after riding them for almost 10 years now. It's a way more stylish bike plus hand built in Italy by a family of artisans with a strong connection to the sport. But the bargain on a pro-level Look frame in the store over a possible long wait on a mid range italian frame to be delivered was too much to pass over. It was like a struggle of head over heart and the head won. But as I've said, I'm due for a crash and when that happens the frame will be toast. At that point I'll flip all the parts to a DeRosa frame.

Probably be a 1999 Derosa Planet for sale early in 2007 if anyone needs a good used road bike.
