In the midst of organizing this year's taxes, I finally got a letter back from the Revenue people about what they thought of my accountant's re-assessment of their re-assessment of last year's tax return. Looks like they agreed with my accountant. However, I did notice that they managed to wait 3 months before getting back to me with the results - enabling them to charge more interest on the smaller amount I now owe. Masters of rats...
